{Are You Ready For Some Football?}

Last Friday night we went to our first football game of the season.

Brownwood vs. Stephenville - Big Rivals.

The Brownwood/Stephenville game is an event that Texas Monthly put in it's 25 Things You Should Do in Texas article a while back - if you were there you would understand why.
There were an estimated 10,000 fans at the game and this is high school football. The Stephenville fans have a tradition of bringing a can full of nuts and bolts to shake, creating a rattling roar that fills the arena. Annoying, but I guess that's the point.
There are more people in the Brownwood Band than my whole graduating class.

As the game was starting the huge banner came up the smoke machine came to life and the Lions poured out of the locker room and onto the field.

Don't worry in case you can't make the game they air it on the local radio stations and on t.v.

This town bleeds Maroon & White!

It was a perfect night for a football game. Feels like Fall.

This was Ella's first Brownwood Football Experience - she loved it!

Loved the people, loved the cheerleaders and loved the excitement.
Touchdown!
She's been pumping her arms up in the air all week, I couldn't figure out what she was doing until Chad brought it to my attention that the cheerleaders and players all thru the game where doing that to get the crowd to stand up and cheer.

She doesn't miss a thing.

It was a great game all the way up until the last 23 seconds. Brownwood ended up getting defeated 28-31. Hopefully next year.
